The EANM'26 Field Guide

What is changing in nuclear medicine and radiopharma, and how to work the congress in Vienna.

EANM'26 opens in Vienna on 17 October with radiopharma deals pending, recent US rejections turning on manufacturing and Europe's isotope base changing. This guide gives the read in eight tested theses, then turns it into a plan: a playbook for each type of attendee, day planners, the sessions that matter, every exhibitor and the side events.

What this report answers

  • What has changed in radiopharma since the last congress, and what should we test on the floor in Vienna?
  • Where is acquisition capital going, and what does that mean for suppliers, CDMOs and developers?
  • Why have recent US radiopharma rejections turned on manufacturing rather than clinical data?
  • Which isotopes is Europe's supply actually built on, and where does new alpha capacity come from?
  • Which sessions, booths and side events are worth our time, day by day?
  • What should someone in my role ask at the booths, and of whom?
  • Who is hiring in radiopharma right now, and where are the roles?

200 exhibitors

Every EANM'26 exhibitor, grouped by what it does and located by booth, from the official exhibitor list, the printed program, the September 2026 floor plan and the companies' own announcements.

717 open roles

Radiopharma-relevant roles posted publicly at the 190 employers ProGen checked on 14 October 2026, classified by function, seniority and location. A dated snapshot, not a census.

What the analysis establishes

Part I. The read

Eight theses built from dated primary sources and challenged by independent reviewers before publication: deals and capital, US approvals, isotope supply, the European rulebook, capacity constraints, hiring, the exhibition floor and the emerging science. Each thesis ends with what it means commercially and what to listen for in Vienna.

Part II. The congress

Vienna on one page, the Austria Center building level by level, the program at a glance, and the sessions that matter from Saturday 17 to Wednesday 21 October, with times, rooms and session numbers.

Part III. Playbooks by attendee type

Eight short playbooks, from developers and CMC leaders to suppliers, CDMOs, clinicians, radiopharmacists, investors and people exploring their next role. Each one gives the read that matters to that reader, the sessions and booths worth their time, and the questions that get past the booth pitch.

Parts IV to VI. Directory, calendar and tools

All 200 exhibitors grouped by what they do, with booth numbers; 47 side events, each checked against the organizer's own announcement; day planners, a meeting tracker, a booth-visit checklist ordered by level and a questions-to-ask card.

How it was built

Built by the ProGen team in October 2026 from public sources only: the official final program, the congress website, the September 2026 floor plan and session pages, exhibitor websites and organizer pages for side events. Nine research streams cover deals, approvals, isotope supply, pipeline, manufacturing, reimbursement, imaging, talent and the competitive map, and every figure carries its date. The hiring analysis is a snapshot of 190 radiopharma employers taken on 14 October 2026. Abstracts under congress embargo are named but their results are not reported. The guide is an independent publication by ProGen Search and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM). Session times, rooms and exhibitor details change; always confirm with the official congress program.
