What the analysis establishes

What the tables actually cover

The benchmark is built around four leadership functions - CMC and technical operations, operations and manufacturing, quality, and CMC or radiopharma regulatory - each modelled at director, senior director and vice president level. Six US hubs are presented as standalone tables. Every figure is base salary only, expressed in USD, with an adjusted minimum, typical and maximum for each combination.

Why general biotech data does not transfer

The report sets out three structural distortions specific to the modality: overlapping regulatory regimes that narrow the viable pool and raise the cost of a mis-hire, roles titled and budgeted for steady-state operations while the work is genuinely build-phase, and leadership talent that is far more concentrated than radiopharmaceutical activity itself. Each one is explained in terms of what it does to hiring outcomes.

How the hub adjustment works

Boston - Cambridge is the baseline reference hub, and the other regions are derived from it using published multipliers. The report is explicit that the multiplier is a normalisation mechanism rather than a claim of precision: it exists to keep roles and locations internally consistent, not to assert that any single number is a market-clearing salary.

Geographies deliberately left out

Southern California, the Pacific Northwest and the Research Triangle are not given standalone tables. The report explains which of the presented hubs each typically aligns with in practice, and states plainly that for any unlisted geography the tables are directional only, to be adjusted for role scope and execution risk rather than read literally.

What the ranges exclude

Bonus, equity and long-term incentives, sign-on and retention awards, and relocation or tax equalisation all sit outside the figures shown. The report quantifies how much those components typically add at senior level in radiopharma, and directs that they be modelled separately rather than assumed inside the base ranges.

Where pressure is expected to build into 2026

The closing outlook identifies which senior functions it expects to remain structurally constrained, which category of operational leader it expects to keep commanding a premium, and what it expects geographic spread between hubs to do before it settles. It also names the three executive questions the benchmark is designed to answer before a search is launched or reset.

How it was built

A blended model, described openly as such. Three inputs are combined: published base-salary ranges from radiopharmaceutical and adjacent RLT roles taken from company disclosures, job advertisements and regulatory filings, which anchor the director and senior director levels; aggregated and anonymised compensation expectations observed across ProGen Search leadership hiring activity, including stated candidate expectations and accepted against declined offer dynamics; and comparative inference from advanced biologics, cell and gene therapy and ADC manufacturing leadership where radiopharma-specific data is thin. No individual-level data is disclosed. The report labels every figure as a modelled planning range rather than a survey average.
